This 73 year-old beloved daughter, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend, she greatly influenced her family and so many others. Mentoring young mothers, teaching adult and children’s Sunday school and choir, rocking hundreds of babies, she spent her life pouring life and love into others. She was a prayer warrior whose strong faith and love in Christ helped point her children, grandchildren, and so many more toward her Savior.Suzy was born on Jan. 14, 1945, and was preceded in eternal life by her parents, L.C. Griffin and Mary Blake Griffin, and her sister, Patricia Austin. She is survived by her brother, Gary Griffin, husband of 53 years, Don Sims, children, Dr. Harrison Sims (wife, Melody and their children, Kayla, Blake, Ashley, Aubrey, Maddie and Lauren), Kimberly McCormick (husband, Chris and children, Auburn, Emma and Griffin), Blake Sims (wife, Heather and children, Anna Kate and Daniel), and Sally Anne Lawson (husband Jeremy). For the past seven years she lovingly babysat for Ryan and Jessica Mundy and considered them bonus children and Kourtlenn, Malachi, Jonah, Esther Joelle and John Ryan her bonus grandchildren. Suzy had enough love to spread to all she met. And enough sass to keep them all in line.
